Some changes to Emily and the website.

Emily is taking several steps on her own but usually without encouragement.  She likes to walk and hold one of our hands and she continues to smile like crazy.  She absolutely loves when we read to her.  Her favorite books are "Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus", "The Bear Snores On" and "The Bear Wants More".  I have read these books so many times I don't even need to look at the pages anymore.

I got a new camera this week so I've been taking a ton of new pictures.  I uploaded a bunch that you can check out by clicking here.

In baby #2 news... We have our formal ultrasound on Monday.  This is the one where they do a detailed scan and identify the sex of the baby,  Of course we already know the sex thanks to Jennifer's O.B.

That's all for now.

A Toy Story in our home

Something odd has been happening in our house.  A few weeks ago one of Emily's toys started playing music on it's own. Me and Jennifer were in the same room together and witnessed the event.  We thought it was possible the toy in question had a button stuck or something like that.

A few nights ago it happened again.  This time it was both the offending toy AND another toy in the room.  We're starting to believe Emily's toys are "playing" while she's in bed.  It's pretty creepy waking up to the sound of a toy saying "come and play with us".  No joke, I woke up to a toy asking me to come and play with it.

These boots are made for walking...

Little Emily has started walking!!!!!  Ok, so maybe just a few steps but that's progress!  The fun began on May 7th and every week since, she has gotten more and more courage to take a few more steps.  Last night was by far the most fun we've had. Emily walked (about 4-5 steps) between Jennifer and I.  She was so proud of herself, it was adorable!

Emily still points at everything and she tries so hard to communicate.  We read together each night.  She loves "The Bear Snores On", "The Bear Wants More" and "Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Buss".  I read those books so often I don't even look at the pages anymore.  She's amazing.

I am not sure if I've mentioned the pending arrival of baby #2 on this blog.  We're expecting baby #2 in October and we got an early look to determine whether or not Emily will have a little sister or brother.  Verdicts in… It's a Boy!  We are super excited about the thought of a little man in our house.

I know I've been promising to upload pictures. Well I finally delivered on that promise.  I uploaded almost 500 pictures today including photos from February, Emily's First Birthday, Easter Sunday and more so make sure to check out the photos page.

That's all for now.
